Malta’s underwater topography creates diverse experiences for both beginners and advanced freedivers through its unique combination of dramatic cliffs, caves, tunnels, arches, reefs, and historical wrecks accessible from shore. Wrecks and caves in Malta are perfect for both novice and experienced freedivers because they offer varying depths and complexities, thus catering to all skill levels.

Beginners benefit from shallow, easy-entry dive sites with clear visibility and abundant marine life which offer safe, and scenic environments. Advanced divers can explore complex underwater features and intricate swim-throughs providing technical challenges and thrilling exploration opportunities.

Our shore-based freediving expeditions are for certified freedivers only (freediving certification qualifying for open water dives beyond 10m at least). This underwater activity is not suitable for snorkelers and skin divers.

From large tankers, old ferries or big tugboats to S-class submarines, bombers aircrafts, destroyers, or minesweepers sunk during WW2, Malta has it all. But not everyone wants to wreck dive so if you prefer to explore underwater caves, arches, drop-offs, marine life or hideouts, follow your freediving guide through tunnels and swim through. Malta and Gozo have no secret for us!
