APNEA TOTAL Courses

Instructors at Apnea Total Malta teach freediving according to the Apnea Total Freediving Education System. Apnea Total was created in 2004 by two passionate free divers that wanted to share their passion with the world. Today, the Apnea Total family counts over 25 schools across the world and its freediving certifications are recognized worldwide.

Our freediving courses cover all levels, from the beginner to the pro:

Our free diving courses follow three principles:

1) Learn by doing: 

While the theory is important to give you the necessary knowledge, we do not ask you to pass an exam. We focus on in-water practice. By keeping our groups small, we give everyone the opportunity to dive several times with the freediving instructor and improve faster.

2) Freediving is for everyone but everyone is different: 

We pride ourselves on offering a personalized approach, we adapt and tailor our freediving courses to each student’s needs and progress.

3) 100% free diver safety ratio: 

Safety is our main priority. We do not consider free diving as an extreme sport but there is no denying some risks are involved. To minimize them, we highlight safety procedures during our freediving courses.
