Certified Freedivers, Welcome!
All certified freedivers are welcome to join the courses and activities mentioned on this page. It doesn’t matter if you got your freediving certification from APNEA TOTAL, MOLCHANOV, CMAS, SSI, PADI, AIDA or any other recognized certifying agency.
If you are a snorkeler, scuba diver or spearfisher without a certification, you need to get certified as a Freediver first.
Continue your Freediving Education
Apnea Total Malta offers courses of all levels, from the beginner freediver to the freediving instructor. Crossovers are accepted for almost all certified freedivers. In case of doubt regarding the certifying level, please contact us.
Apnea Total Courses
Apnea Total relies on a series of 6 courses focused on practice. Two levels for beginners and 4 levels to continue your education. These freediving courses do not require passing a written exam.
Apnea Total was founded over 15 years ago by two freediving enthusiasts with a passion to share. Apnea Total is now a large family scattered across the world and whose freediving certifications are recognized worldwide.
Molchanovs Courses
Molchanovs educational system is built on 3 recreational freediving courses. All levels combine an online course with in-person intensive water training. Upon completion of a Molchanovs course, you get access to weekly online freediving training.
The founders of Molchanovs are among the most famous names in freediving. Natalia Molchanova, known as the World’s Best Freediver, and her son Alexey Molchanov, multiple world record holder.

Spearfishing for certified freedivers
We have two one-day spearfishing courses, depending on the level of knowledge and experience in spearfishing and also Spearfishing Safaris and Spearfishing Workshops.

The Discover Spearfishing Course covers the basics of spearfishing and is suitable for freedivers with no experience and beginner spearfishermen.

The Spearfisher Course will make you a better and safer underwater hunter. It has been designed for spearos keen to improve their spearfishing knowledge and techniques
