WHO IS THE DFD COURSE FOR?
The Discover Freediving course is an introductory course to open water freediving. It is designed for those who want to dip their toes into the world of freediving, without committing to a full certification course.
Depths, numbers and experience below the surface are not important. We are all here to embark on a fantastic underwater adventure.
WHAT WILL YOU ACHIEVE DURING A DFD?
Thanks to this intro course, you will learn the essentials of freediving. At your own rhythm, you will learn how to free dive properly, which includes breathing and breath holding techniques, how to fin and equalize correctly, how to be safe while having fun.
Once you have learned the basics of this amazing sport, you won't be snorkeling, skin diving or spearfishing the same way anymore! Your confidence will increase and you will be able to spend more time under water to enjoy the sea life in a relaxed way.
DFD COURSE DESCRIPTION
The Discover Freediving experience only takes a day and is divided into a theory session and a water session.
During the theory session, we will provide you with general knowledge about freediving, its disciplines and equipment. You will also learn the different techniques of equalization and breathing used to increase the time spent under the water.
During the water session, you will practise what has been learned earlier in the day, such as but limited to duck diving and kicking techniques to move efficiently underwater as well as breathing and equalization techniques.
We know learning to freedive might be intimidating, but we have you covered. The instructor will be with you every step of the way and our training methods can be adapted to everyone's abilities. To allow greater attention, we also keep our groups small (maximum 3 students per instructor)
At the end of the Try Freediving Course, you can decide whether you want to continue to the next level and be certified as a Free Diver in just one more day.
