Underwater Scooters
What is like to freedive with a DPV?
Underwater Scooters are one of the funniest things to do while freediving and, if you have already tried it, you know what we mean.
When we, freedivers, explore the underwater world, we usually focus on our technique and efficiency in order to have a more pleasant and longer dive. We start with a proper duck dive, keeping our body completely vertical, aligned and hydrodynamic, and we kick with enough power to reach deeper depth but not too strong to save our energy, and so on. There are no such things when free diving with a DPV, it's all just 100% entertainment.
With a DPV, all you have to do is select the speed you want, press the throttle and enjoy easy long dives. And driving an underwater scooter is so much easier than you might think. Give your freediving instructor 20minutes, and he will make you an efficient rider.

FOR WHOM ARE THE UW SCOOTERS?
Our Underwater Scooter Tours (DPVs) are for certified freedivers ready for a new diving experience or those having difficulties to kick underwater.
Very easy to handle, the DPV doesn't require to be an advanced diver.
WHAT TO EXPECT?
Just hold into the handles and let yourself be carried by the underwater scooter. You very easily adjust your buoyancy. You don't have to kick or pull, simply steer, and decide the speed and where you want to go. You basically explore the whole dive site without moving a fin.
The lack of physical effort means your dives will be longer and easier. You can now effortlessly freedive a large wreck in one breath.
HOW ARE OUR UW SCOOTER TOURS?
Your instructor will first brief you about the dive spot and how to use the underwater scooters.
He/she will then show you how to drive a DPV and watch you practicing in shallow water.
Once the driving is under control and everybody is ready, we will have fun exploring the site for 2-3 hours.
The battery of our scooters lasts 3-4 hours at full speed. You can thus freedive with your DPV without worrying about the time.
After the DPV Tour, we will offer you water and snacks.
